Isolation |
Lungs of a calf with pneumoenteritis |
Storage Conditions |
?-70°C or colder |
Comments |
Does not share common CF antigen with human adenoviruses. No cross-reactivity with bovine adenovirus types 1-3. GenBank: AF036092.3 |
Effect on Host |
CPE, generalized enlarged cell rounding and cell clumping or clustering; Type B intranuclear inclusion bodies ?CPE, generalized enlarged cell rounding and cell clumping or clustering; Type B intranuclear inclusion bodies |
Recommended Host |
BT (ATCC CRL-1390) Production Host: ?BT (ATCC? CRL-1390) |
Growth Conditions |
Temperature: 37.0°C Recommendations for Infection: Plate cells 24-48 hours prior to infection and infect when cultures are 80-90% confluent. Remove medium and inoculate with a small volume (e.g. 1 mL per 25 cm2) of virus diluted to provide an optimal MOI (e.g. 0.1). Adsorb 1-2 hours at 37°C without CO2, rocking every 20-30 minutes to redistribute inoculum. End adsorption by adding virus growth medium. Incubation: Incubate infected culture for 6-7 days at 37°C without CO2, until 90% of the culture shows CPE. |
