Biosafety Level |
1
Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country. |
Applications |
Animals were immunized with a formalinized toxoid prepared from crude SLT-II produced by an E. coli K-12 strain lysogenized with the 933W toxin converting phage of enterohemorrhagic E. coli 933. The antibody reacts with the A subunit of SLT-II and does not react with B subunit. The antibody can be used in SLT-II neutralization assays and in assays to detect SLT-II producing E. coli strains. It may also be used to differentiate SLT-II from SLT-I, SLT-IIv and Shiga toxin. The 11E10 antibody differs from that of 11F11 (ATCC CRL-1908) in that it can partially neutralize SLT-IIv. |
Derivation |
Animals were immunized with a formalinized toxoid prepared from crude SLT-II produced by an E. coli K-12 strain lysogenized with the 933W toxin converting phage of enterohemorrhagic E. coli 933. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. |
