Animals were immunized with purified shiga-like toxin from E. coli H30. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with the beta subunit of shiga toxin and SLTI and neutralizes Shiga toxin activities from Shigella dysenteriae type I and Shigella flexneri and Shiga-like toxin activities from Escherichia coli. Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Salmonella typhimurium. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
