Animals were immunized with BHV-1. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody is specific for the gD glycoprotein of BHV-1 and neutralizes the virus in the absence of complement. It is used by the National Veterinary Services Laboratories of the USDA for in vitro potency testing of adjuvantated, inactivated BHV-1 vaccines. |
