Animals were repeatedly immunized with recombinant gp120 (rgp120) from a single isolate of HIV-1 (IIIB). Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. 46-5 is one of a panel of antibodies developed by Dr. Suzanne Epstein that reacts with the gp120 of HIV-1.
