Comments |
Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--5.0, 1.0; BamHI--5.9; PstI--4.6, 1.35; HindIII--5.4, 0.5; EcoRI/PstI--4.2, 1.0, 0.7. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' end): HindIII--0.13, 0.54; PstI--0.66. This clone expresses a fusion protein of GST and calpastatin (domains 3 and 4 only). This truncated product also differs from calpastatin by a substitution (G->A) at nt 1937 of D16217, resulting in a glycine to glutamate substitution (G592E). |
